toolbox kit
a personal survival kit

ABOUT
The "Toolbox Kit" is a project about embracing individuality and self-worth, featuring depictions of various tools that symbolize a person's strength or knowledge of a skill. It acts as a reminder to those in doubt of their capabilities and aims to hightlight the qualities that make a person so special.
DESIGN

It is carefully designed to exhibit a variety of colors from different hues, values and chromas that coherently work together.
USABILITY

Serving as a "personal survival kit", the toolbox gathers skills developed over a person's lifetime. These skills are stored in a custom-made foldable booklet, making it both practical and portable.
Each tool in the booklet is accompanied by a blank line where users can personalize the strength it represents. The accordion design also makes it easy for users to add more tools to their toolbox.
INTERACTIVITY
I also designed a way for people to know the "type" of toolbox they have based on their qualities and strengths. I made an online quiz of 15 questions where, according to the answers, a person would get one of six options: the designer's red toolbox, director's yellow toolbox, constructor's green toolbox, mechanic's pink toolbox, marketer's blue toolbox, and investor's purple toolbox.
And if someone wants to get crafty, they have the option to construct their toolbox and all the tools in it by coordinating their answers from the quiz to the color of the tools on the cube.
THE DESIGNER'S RED TOOLBOX
Sensitive, Introspective, Creative, Expressive, Reserved, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental
The Designer's set of tools (strengths) include being self-aware, emotionally honest. and deeply perceptive of the world around them. They are driven by the want to express themselves and their individuality. What they could improve on is managing their moods and being more confident in themselves.
THE DIRECTOR'S TOOLBOX
Intense, Intellectual, Perceptive, Dominating, Innovative, Secretive, Self-Confident, Decisive, and Isolated
The Director's set of tools (strengths) include being alert, insightful, curious, strong, assertive, and resourceful. They are driven by knowledge and the want to understand everything as a way to prepare for the unknown. What they could improve on is becoming too enveloped in thoughts that they become detached and isolated from reality.
THE CONSTRUCTOR'S TOOLBOX
Rational, Principled, Purposeful, Self-Controlled, and Perfectionistic

The Constructor's set of tools (strengths) include being noble, responsible, organized, and efficient. They are driven by the want to improve everything and succeed. What they could improve on is patience and lower their standards for themselves.
THE MECHANIC'S PINK TOOLBOX
Committed, Secure, Engaging, Responsible, Reliable, Hard-Working, Anxious, and Suspicious
The Mechanic's set of tools (strengths) include being determined, trustworthy. internally stable, and problem solvers. They are driven by the need to feel secure and supported. What they could improve on is accepting criticism and decreasing self-doubt and suspicion.
THE MARKETER'S BLUE TOOLBOX
Driven, Pragmatic, Busy, Adaptable, Versatile, Excelling, and Image-Conscious
The Marketer's set of tools (strengths) include being charming, ambitious, competent, energetic, and practical. They are driven by the want to be unique, happy, and different. What they could improve on is decreasing the concern of their appearance and patience.
THE INVESTOR'S PURPLE TOOLBOX
Caring, Interpersonal, Generous, People-Pleasing, Understanding, and Possessive
The Investor's set of tools (strengths) include being empathetic, sincere, friendly. generous, and warm-hearted. They are driven by the want to be loved and appreciated. What they could improve on is their possessiveness and prioritizing themselves.
